MAGIC Lab Inaugurated at SRM Easwari Engineering College to Drive Research in AI, Embedded, and FPGA Technologies

MulticoreWare Inc., in collaboration with SRM Easwari Engineering College inaugurated the MAGIC (MulticoreWare–Academia Global Innovation Center) Lab on campus today. The new facility aims to strengthen industry-academia partnerships and foster applied research in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Embedded Systems, and FPGA-based acceleration.

The lab will enable students and faculty to work on real-world industrial challenges in domains such as Smart Cities, Healthcare, Automotive, Robotics, and IoT. Equipped with advanced platforms including STM32, Microcontrollers, and FPGAs, the MAGIC Lab will serve as a hub for innovation and hands-on learning.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. AGK Karunakaran, CEO of MulticoreWare Inc., said,

“The country requires a million entrepreneurs. That was my vision with the intent of having certain faculty members to have a desire to be exposed to the industry and pair them with PhD scholars and have students under them and this forms a research cluster. It becomes a good machine and creates opportunities for possible outcomes. The foremost, students become a part of our company, and second is to create opportunities for our own employees to get PhD from your organization and third is to have a satellite companies or venture studios with appropriate brands or find an Incubation Centre if there is alignment. Ideas originate from the heart and what we can build out of that., we can see ideas and grow. We are growing the magic institutions and we thank this organization for becoming a magic centre.”
