MulticoreWare Inc. Joins Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) to establish R&D lab

MulticoreWare Inc. and Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) have established a global innovation centre to pursue joint research activities. The MulticoreWare Academia Global Innovation Centre (MAGIC@KARE) was inaugurated on the 24th of August 2022 at the KARE campus in Krishnankoil, TN by Mr. Subramanian Emarajan, Vice President of Engineering at MulticoreWare Inc., in the presence of Dr. S. Shashi Anand, Vice President of KARE and Mr. Shashikanth Jayaraman, Vice President – Human Resources at MulticoreWare Inc.
Dr. S. Shashi Anand, Vice President of KARE said, “I am delighted that MulticoreWare is establishing the MAGIC lab at our university campus. This provides a valuable opportunity to our students to interact with personnel from the industry and work on live projects. The existing research clusters have been a phenomenal success with students getting to experience the benefits of true industrial collaboration on the campus itself. KARE is fully committed to supporting the initiative for the benefit of the students.”
The MAGIC lab will focus on areas such as Multi-Modal Sensor Data Fusion Algorithm Development, AI Algorithm Development for Pedestrian Behaviour Prediction & Gesture Recognition and Advanced Video Encoding Solutions.
The collaboration started in 2021 with research clusters consisting of students, faculty members and mentors from MulticoreWare working on various R&D areas. The successful collaboration expanded to internships and placements leading to the establishment of the research centre.
