Project Manager – Video Codecs, Solutions & Services

Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Project Manager to join our team as a critical interface between the vertical business unit and the engineering teams. The ideal candidate should have at least 5-6 years of experience managing projects in video codecs, video solutions, and services. You will manage the engineering teams, even though they will not report to you. You will report to the VP of the Vertical Business Unit. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will also need to understand the video codecs, video solutions, and services space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the vertical business unit and the engineering teams.
  • Manage the engineering teams and ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and executed.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and best practices in the video codecs, video solutions, and services.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure that it is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related field.
  • 5-6 years of experience managing projects in video codecs, video solutions, and services.
  • Experience managing engineering teams.
  • Excellent project management skills, including developing and managing project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Strong communication skills, including communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • In-depth knowledge of video codecs, video solutions, and services space.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
